Even their eagle is scared of us. Last time we were there he tried to flee to safety in the skyboxes. The fans are lucky he didn't smash through the window and peck out their brains.

You may not be aware of this, but most live mascots that visit Jordan Hare are taken under the bleachers when the Eagle flies in. Eagle's are at the top of the food chain and see some animals (like a Gamecock) as lunch. It is done for the safety of all.

If eagles are at the top of the food chain then I should feel threatened when they circle on my land and have the right to pull out a 12 gauge to defend myself from them.

Oh please, Eagles are not going after something bigger than them that they don't need, and we are excluding humans with guns from this discussion anyway. And while there have been instances of Eagles going after small dogs and cats, it's not the norm. Here is your priority list:

I wonder if Grant left a Book in every town when he kicked their arse. That would explain the library in Starkville.
