the backstory is that I wouldn't include his 12-0 prediction in the preseason prediction thread, because I know that no auburn fans actually, realistically expect to go 12-0 this season.

On paper, Auburn has one of the most talented DL's in the whole country.
But we have to stay healthy and produce before you can make claims like this.
We had virtually no pass rush last year. In order for the DL to reach their potential the following things need to happen with the pass rush:
-Carl Lawson stays healthy
- now that Jeff Holland is basically full time DE he needs to consistently do the things he showed flashes of last year.
-Paul James, who led JUCO in sacks last year, needs to be able to come off the bench to spell Lawson and keep us a pass rush threat on the field
-Monty Adams needs to be more consistent and provide a pass rush from the interior. He doesn't need to be Fairley out there, but he needs to be consistent. Although I think part of his problem so far is how the coaches have had him lined up in the schemes. He's been criminally misused.
-Dontavious Russell needs to use that big wide body to plug holes and command double teams
