No. My dislike for Auburn is certainly not helping their cause in my eyes, but I don't think it's causing me to feel the way I do.
Why take recruits to midfield in a football stadium to gather around the Auburn logo to say a prayer?
There is just so much about the way it went down that seems shady to me.
It would be much more believable to me if he had done it one one one.
How many college coaches in America do you think pray with all of the recruits that are visiting?
Do you think Trooper Taylor is just that good of a person, and honestly had no other motive in mind, or do you think he might have seen it as an opportunity to make a good impression?
Honest questions. If you think he did it in good faith, that's fine. I am just struggling to believe it. Again, just seems like a big show for the recruits as opposed to a genuine prayer.

Praying with all of the recruits in attendance. At the same time. At midfield. In Jordan Hare Stadium.
That's sickening to me because it wreaks of using God as a recruiting ploy - which is something Auburn has been long accused of. This simply solidifies it for me, in the most unpleasant way.
On a similar note: When I was 16, my mom and I went to look at used trucks at a local dealership. We walked around, picked out a truck that we both liked (she liked the price, I liked the truck), and went in to sign papers. After being told that the financing charges would be a lot higher than expected, my mom told the salesman that she would need to go home and pray about it.
The salesman offered to pray for us right then and there. My mom obliged. He prayed that we would find the right vehicle and that we would "find peace in the decision".
As we were walking out, I looked back and I noticed a playboy calendar pinned on the wall behind the desk.
That was the "peace" that we had prayed for. We went and found a different truck at a different dealership.
