When I was in Alabama, I had a pistol registered in my name with a pistol permit.

When you fill out a pistol permit, you have to list a pistol. Probably what he means. It's not registered per say..

Once you have the permit though, you may carry any pistol concealed, it's not just for the one you had to list.

FWIW this guy has been pretty damn accurate about what happened. I have no reason to doubt him. If Dyer was going to be charged with anything, he probably already would be.

If in fact it is Dyer's weapon (or his girl's) is that not, like, aiding and abetting or something?

They would all have to implicate him. Doubt anything comes of it other than embarrassment for Dyer.

Last time i bought a pistol i had to register for a background check, after a 3 day period i could go pick it up. The gun is registered to me. If it's involved in a crime, I would have a few questions to answer.

And that's just to own the pistol. A carry permit is even harder to obtain.

Yeah, not trying to start a witchhunt or anything, and I'm sure he's not the only football player to have access to a weapon...

It's just wild that he would loan it to these guys. He and Mosely went to high school together, right?

"Hey Michael, can I borrow that .45 mag, I've got, uh, plans..."

Yeah, no link or anything. But it's what he said, and he's not out to "get" anyone or anything (my stepbro).

no it's not. They "ran" a background check on you, and you had to wait 3 days to pick it up b/c you don't have a CWP (if you did they would've simply ran the background check on you, and you would've walked out of the shop 5 minutes later with your handgun).

Again, guns aren't "registered" to anybody in Alabama.

Not sure about Florida, but you should use google for the state of Alabama.

dude, you don't need a "pistol permit" to purchase a handgun. All you need is to be 21 years of age.

Not every county requires you to list a pistol on the application.

Exactly.

If you think the good ol' boys of ala-dang-bammer would put up with REGISTRATION of legally owned weapons under the 2nd Amendment, you guys are freakin' nuts.

If you want to carry it concealed, you better have one.

Alabama requires you to have a Concealed Pistol Permit if you want to carry your pistol in your car or conceal carry it.
