A big break for Alabama with the Fairley penalty and a big break for Auburn with the Mark Ingram fumble. So I guess that makes it even.

Maybe so. But thats what happens when you rightfully earn the reputation for being a piece of shite, they're going to watch you even closer.
The same goes for the Cam situation. Nothing may ever come of it, but the NCAA is going to be on the lookout...and with people like Taylor on staff they will eventually get haammered.
