We get it. Calling a punt on 4th down was incredible coaching by Miles. Best coaching I've ever seen.

As for LSU (7-1, 4-1), those Tigers couldn't slow down Newton and coach Les Miles' latest gamble in an adventurous season backfired.

quote:

The league's best offense won a showdown versus the top defense hands down. The team's 440 yards rushing was the most Auburn had ever rung up against an SEC defense.

quote:

Miles, meanwhile, stirred up late-game weirdness yet again, this time in defeat.

He opted to go for it on fourth-and-6 from LSU's 30 after calling timeout with 3:27 left. The Tigers still seemed unsure of what they wanted to do on the pivotal play. Jarrett Lee, the passing portion of his team's quarterback tandem, tried to scramble for the first down but was stopped well short by Neiko Thorpe.

No, Auburn also set all kinds of records against one of the best defenses in the Country while AU's middle of the road D shut down LSU's offense.

Crowton.

Funny how Les has been a head coach for 10 years now and the only time there were ever any issues like this were when Crowton was the O/C

Newton was a decoy on the decisive scoring play, though. McCalebb came across on a sweep that Newton often fakes on and keeps for some of his biggest runs. This time he gave it away and the speedy McCalebb made one cut and won the sprint to the end zone.

Out coached.

Yet, every SEC fan likes to blame Chizik for Auburn's defensive problems...when it was clearly Ted Roof.

The fact that you actually went and looked up the game summary is amazing and I'm taking that as a W btw

Y'all are obviously going to believe what you want to believe about Chiz and that's fine. We'll just make it 5 out of 6 and y'all can keep talking about next year for another 12 months.

Yeah, you just conceded with this sentence. Facts about the game that blow a hole in your ridiculous homer opinion is a W for you.

Which has nothing to do with what we were discussing. Again, obvious concession is obvious.
