You are right. I had it as 9 at half, but must have confused LSU. So technically it was a 1 score game. Ya'll also left 3 on the field before half. I stated Auburn had a 13 point swing advantage in the first game. Points swings are huge in football...taking advantage and avoiding them. We also had a penalty near mid field where we gave ya'll free downs in the first game (much like the jumping the shield). The difference was we turned ya'lls mistake into points and we managed to minimize our mistake by getting off in 3 and out after the penalty. Those situations are huge in games and proved to be in both games.
Absolutely agree with your last points...just talking football. Which on tRant isn't easy.

You got that right!
I get it. Auburn people hate Georgia fans, and as a whole Georgia fans hate Auburn. It is what it is. The problem is we base all the animosity on 2-3 trolls here on the rant, as a whole. I actually have several good friends that went to Auburn, and one was in my wedding. I like all the Auburn people I know in real life. I am learning not to project trolls on the Rant to an entire fan base....but I also know how difficult that is.

We might get beat, but we are going to the playoffs, and we won the SEC. That's something Auburn didn't do. Oh, and speaking of choking away.....LSU. Did you really have a 21 point lead?
Don't be so sensitive, be glad you won the SEC. But you can not rewrite history and pretend the 40-17 didn't happen. Enjoy the victory, it will be the high water mark of your season. Now that the East is getting better coaching, it might be another 35 years before you can beat your chest again.

We don’t have to pretend it didn’t happen, our team made sure it didn’t matter.

I agree. I believe for the most part both games were played pretty clean (sportsmanship) considering what was at stake.
An Auburn friend of mine was complaining about how "thuga" ya'll played in the first game. I made a point to show him a few plays where guys from uga and Auburn helped each other off the turf, etc...I also reminded him most of the personal fouls were hustle fouls and not cheap shots. After we talked about it he agreed. I hope tDSOR will clean up a bit. IMO it's to important to both teams and CFB for it to be a game where both teams don't respect one another.
Let's leave those types of rivalries for teams who never play for anything meaningful.

True. And you can't rewrite history and pretend 28-7 didn't happen. On the big stage. I mean, you make a post about us choking on the big stage, but we literally beat Auburn on the big stage.

That's typically the case. I am an old guy (Very old) but even when I played there was always some players who were cheap shot artists, and some who were good on every team we played. A lot of the time the players with the "bad" reputations were the ones helping opponents up from the field.

I suspect it will come sooner than that.
Just striking back and Irons. Believe me. I won't strike first at an Auburn poster about the SECCG. I remember all too well how I felt after the DSOR game. It was horrible. I know how I felt. It's not fun, and I don't see the point of making other people feel that way.

No one is pretending the first game didn't happen. It was extra fun to get sweet revenge so soon, and to win the sec while doing it. It's also nice to see how badly you want uga to lose to ou. You don't have to pretend you hate uga owning auburn because it's obvious.

When you win the sec in blowout fashion, and earn a playoff spot while doing it, you can brag.
