Maybe you should apply for the Bama Compliance Position, that is open. Since you "know" the rules and how they are interpreted.

Maybe I should. If I had a position like that, I would certainly take it seriously, and not like some of the people that have these jobs. I personally hate what a few people do has to ruin it for the rest of us. I don't see how boosters get such a big thrill doing what they know is wrong, and only spoil it for the rest of us that love to see our team win. They claim to love their school/team and want to see them win, but in the end they hurt the school, players that have nothing to do with it, and us fans that carry the name of cheaters when all we did was support our team in the right way.

Serious question, did they fire the compliance guy or did he quit?

Since we're talking auburn here also,I have a question for auburn lovers. Everyone knows Dye helped Ramsey out.It was on tape, there is no arguing that. Having said that, how many of you SERIOUSLY think Dye is playing it by the book, now that he is back in the PICTURE on campus. No flame intended,if you answer honestly

Dont really have an answer, but do you have any evidence one way or another? just because someone commits a crime, does that mean they cannot stop? I am not saying he or AU is or not doing anything currently. But most of the arguments, like your reference, are that because he was a cheat, he is still cheating. Thats not a very sound argument.

Not arguing anything, and not accusing, just wanted some opinions on what ya'll felt about him being allowed back in the family. I mean, that would be like us letting Logan Young come back (if he was living) after what he did

All I'm sayin is, don't be so giddy to have the NCAA digging around this anymore than they already have. The NCAA absolutely CAN NOT allow former players to act as agents in P4P schemes without there being some type of punishment/penalty for the school he's brokering for.

The point you are missing here is the school (MSU)didn't arrange these former players/player to market him to us. This is Kenny Rogers possibly acting by himself with the help of Cecil Newton. Everybody knew he wanted and was planning to come to MSU. Rogers says, "Hey let me try and make a little money off of this"

Not really, As Logan did not accomplish anything besides getting you on probabtion, but who knows how long he was behind the scenes, maybe he did. I dont to Pat Dye, but he did get Auburn out of the barfield years and did some great things at AU.

However, MSU did continue recuit Cam, knowing this was going on. Do you not think that this might be a problem for MSU? What if he had signed with MSU, would they have still let the cat out of the bag? This is the only thing I see as something that might comeback to bite MSU in the arse. There might be some other stuff that none of us know yet, also. Again, as said before, I dont think hammer, but I do think they will recieve a secondary.

Logic and reasoning have no place on the SECr NYC. You should know this by now

As for Dye being back the picture: He did some great things at Auburn, but he did cheat. Is he still cheating? I've got no idea.

Well, as in both those coaches had NCAA infractions for players getting paid.

You highly doubt you offered him money despite the proof that he did, yet you think Auburn definitely offered money, when there is no proof that this took place. You don't think you would do that because of the Sherrill days, but the Eric Ramsey case from over 20 years ago is proof positive that we are dirty.

Link to this? The only thing that is for sure, Einstein, is that Cecil went to several people associated with MSU and tried to request money from school to get Cam to sign. There is NOTHING, I repeat, N O T H I N G, that shows any proof whatsoever that anybody affiliated with MSU offered Cecil a dime.

This is correct, so far(not a flame). and by affiliated you mean works for MSU.

Just like most of the story on AU's and MSU's sides, it has been like a game of telephone. The story keeps evolving into something that has not been said.

None of that matters. Once you earn the label of representing the university it stays with you for life. These are all former players so they have earned that label. MSU would have been the beneficiary of this scheme. What the school did or did not do doesnt matter. The reality if that one lone fan can do something and the university gets punished.
