Have you been to Tuscaloosa/Northport and Auburn/Opelika?

You are poorly informed. Auburn makes a real effort to keep the white trash element at a minimum by making "those kinds of places" locate in Opelika or by the interstate. Tuscaloosa likes their tattoo parlors and syphilis saloons right next to Ye Olde College Quad.
Tuscaloosa is awful as a college town. There are a few bars downtown. Yippee. It takes more than a few places to get drunk and arrested to make a town desirable.... Or at least that was the way I saw it when I went up north for school.

Cam didn't steal a laptop and, as far as I know, neither did Schaffer.....
So I'm not sure why you would even bring that up when the context of my comment was about Schaffer comparisons.

I don't hate Alabama at all....kind of indifferent to be honest.
However, I know what I like in a town after traveling a lot and i know that I don't care for tuscaloosa. It fails in every respect as far as I'm concerned.

Location is important to me....I don't want to spend every waking moment in one place and I like that Auburn is close to Atlanta. I also like all of the lakes near Auburn. Being closer to the beach than Tuscaloosa is also a positive.
In terms of the town itself, I love Auburn's downtown because it's quaint and looks the way I've always envisioned a college town to look. I also like Oxford for the same reasons in this regard. I'm into the traditional college town look/feel. If you want strip malls, you can go near the interstate or to Opelika 5 minutes away.
I do think the University of AL is beautiful and it's unfortunate that it is located were it is....
Honestly, if the U of A was located in Guntersville on the lake, it would be amazing and probably the best in the SEC.

Because you make the comment of his skin being the reason why he is viewed as the next Brent. You then changed your argument. Please stay on task spin makes me dizzy.

I still think that is why he's being compared to Brent......I don't think he's being compared to Brent because of a laptop, which you brought up and you were miserably factually wrong to do so.

Why is it his race? why not that he's a dual threat JUCO QB?
ETA: If I'm wrong on the laptop I apologize that's the most common criticism I see of him on this board.

Why not compare him to Tebow then? A dual threat QB who played at Florida and was recruited by Meyer to run that type of spread offense.
That would make much more sense than a weak comparison to a kid who never played at Florida, never played or was recruited by Meyer, and who played several years before the prevalence of spread offenses and formations in the SEC.

This post hit the nail on the head. AU had to sell immediate playing time to make the class. I don't blame them but it will hurt them in the future.
Saban mentioned this at a Red Elephant Club meeting. He wasn't bashing The Univ. of Auburn just pointing out the facts.

because Tebow didn't leave an SEC program after 1 year, go to a JUCO and then re-enter the SEC for a different program.

hahahaha......this is laughable because of its obvious hypocrisy.
Alabama and Saban sold playing time and only playing time in his first TWO classes and I know that for a fact. Even in this last class, recruit after recruit mentioned bammer showing them the depth chart and how they could play right away.
It won't hurt us anymore than it hurt you guys. It's wishful thinking and a way to keep the fan base from panicking, which is why Saban is saying that......he's buying time.

Showing a depth chart and telling the recruits they will start are different. Saban even said in the meeting that it would be an insult to all the other players to tell a recruit they will start.
Sorry if this hurts but it's the truth. Chiznik made a calculated decision and only time will tell if it's a wedge or a carrot.

still awaiting a reply, for the reasoning behind it being his skin color.

Why would we panick? We just won a championship and pulled in another Top 5 recruiting class.
