Maybe if we tricked them into saying something derogatory about LSU... derogatory comments towards Auburn are perfectly acceptable on this board.

This from the guy who thinks the #10 class is equal to the #1 class.

There's little difference between the top 3-5.. but man.. after that there's a large gap.

I would have to agree with his assessment. The classes ranked 1-5 are usually pretty close. It starts to drop off after that, considerably after the top ten or so.

Capstone, my point exactly. A close loss one year does not mean a victory the next. The boogs are so frickin stupid though. Their problem is that they obsess over ONE game each year. They lost.

No, thats your own flawed superiority complex showing. No one has obsessed over this game...you came in here, spun words and dropped the moral victory card.

I agree that what happend this year has no effect on next year, but to sit around and think that all auburn fans care about is alabama just goes to show how myopic you are.

You can have all the talent in the world and if you don't have the right coaches then it doesn't mean anything. You can have 5 stars who don't pan out or get into trouble; or in other cases they aren't utilized properly. UT and LSU come into mind in both cases.

it's gonna vary year-to-year... plus there are hundreds of variables that factor in -- who qualifies, coaching, injuries.

IMO, if you're recruiting in the top 10 to 15, the other variables outside of talent determine winners and losers.

Very true, but with good coaching, winning is a lot easier with two #1 classes. There's a reason that every team that has pulled Rivals top class, since they began rankings, has won national title during those players career.

Surely there is some common ground to find here. Top classes are great. Top 10 classes are good too, and with coaching can offer a close to equal finished product. The point im suprised hasn't been made (seeing as how this like everything else here turned into an auburn alabama pissing match) is that not only does bama bring in top classes but they also have a top tier coaching staff to coach them up. I think auburn is in the right direction and the recruiting efforts this year clearly show this.

Not you specifically, but there is no need to tear this class down as though they won't be good and won't make it easier for auburn to compete for the SEC.

What is the lastest on Lache Seastrunk? I hear that he may be leaning toward Auburn now that Porter is going to Memphis. Anybody got an update?
