Gulf of Mexico, Mississippi River, ports, supplies.
I am not a history major by far but wasn't Grants campaign down the Mississippi more important to the overall economy of the south than the burning of Atlanta? Atlanta to the Atlantic was more about demoralizing the south whereas the Miss valley was a vital supply line.

Yep.

Burning Atlanta was just a victory lap around the sister-frickers.

Taking the river won the war.

I’ve seen these list before but in the South we are fricked because if all the military bases.

Georgia… Benning, Warner Robins , Kings Bay , Fort Gordon, Moody and Stewart

Alabama …. Rucker, Maxwell, Redstone, and
Anniston.

Florida….. Elgin, Pensacola, Tynsdale, Macdill, Key West, Jacksonville.

South Carolina ….. Shaw, parris Island, Charleston, Jackson

This is just a few across the South. Once nukes have been dropped on all of these . We’re fricked from all the fall out. Doesn’t matter we’re you live the radiation will kill us all.
