You might want to specify Alabama high school players, because I'm pretty sure there are other LSU players who got offers from Alabama, or do you think Bama didn't offer Fournette and Co?

Edit: Also, isn't Miles the winningest coach in CFB since he started at LSU. I realize Saban can also make that claim, but I find it hard to rank Miles lower than 3rd.

You're right. My mistake I'll specify.

Athlon bringing that Les love? I think they had him number 30 in the country a couple of years ago.

They lost all credibility with me last year when the ranked Miles 7th or 8th, and behind Mullins.

You probably do, that's as close as you'll get to a national title.

And Chiz should have been #1 after 2010, right? Gonna wait at least three years to state where Gus falls in the pecking order.

No. Chizik was also 5-19 in his previous head coaching stint, Gus was 9-3. Fwiw, Chizik was 8th in the 2012 rankings.

Do you suggest that none of the coaches who have less than 3 years experience in the SEC should be ranked then?

They were ranking Chizick that high a few years ago and this high school coach is a carbon copy.

No. Completely wrong as usual. But, extra points for the cute nickname, it really adds substance to your compelling argument.

Scout.com ranked Gene Chizik as the third best coach in the SEC behind Les Miles and Nick Saban going into the 2011 season.

Yeah that's why I was thinking. Mark Richt is a fine man...one of the best. But no one has done less with more in college football other than maybe Mack Brown..but MB won one though so he gets a pass IMO. Richt over Miles makes this list absolute shite.

Why do people perpetrate this rediculous notion. UGA over Richts tenure averages around 10th in recruiting overall. Normally we are the 4th or 5th best SEC team but sometimes lower and occasionally higher. How does that equate to doing less with more is beyond me. We do exactly what our rankings say we should do. We average every season in the Top 25 with the occasional Top 5 finish and occasionally we have a bad year like this year where nothing goes right. You aren't talking Alabama level talent at Georgia. They get number 1 classes year in and year out. Georgia does well with the talent we bring in and occasionally we have came close as you would expect from a team that recruits around the Top 10 every season....and only 1 team can win it all and Georgia just hasn't hit the homerun.

It's pretty stupid to discredit what CNS has done as merely his recruiting. Recruiting is job one in CFB and if you can't do it at a very high level, you're not gonna rack up any natty's, plain and simple.

But once you get them on campus, they have to be +taught and developed, who does that better than CNS?

Consider this, he's 4-0 in NC games, at Alabama he has has faced 3 undefeated teams in the BCSCG and has dominated all of them. At one point Alabama ran off 69 straight points without allowing a single point. that my friends is a record that will never be broken.

So yeah. Saban gets great talent, but he damn sure knows what to do with it too. Anyone who won't acknowledge that simply is a jealous hater and has an agenda.

How quickly you have forgotten needing a last minute 99 yard drive to defeat a sunken ship.

Last year will most likely go down as the worst in CBB's tenure at Arkansas, things are only going to get tougher for you vs. Arkansas.
