Back on topic:
So really with all the suspensions and transfers how are none of these kids getting playing time?

i think a lot of these kids got bad piss tests and it is easier for them to find new schools if we help them find new schools with "more PT"
and we are run by morons

so uga can't find enough kids that will stay clean to pass "random drug tests"? Richt needs to figure this shite out quickly. I mean hell our starting QB as doing meth bumps before the second half started in some games and he never failed a drug test.

i think that there needs to be a decision made, whether Georgia plans on playing college football like the rest of the SEC, or if we want to stay where we are and waste this pool of talent coming in with our higher standards.
why a university that hasn't won since 1980 would want to make it even harder to do so is beyond me. we are too good for oversigning, too good for lax drug policies, too good to not make it harder to transfer from UGA.
i gues to richtities UGA is too good for a national title. frick mark richt and everyone who keeps spoon feeding me horse shite about why he will make it all better. richt never makes it better, he finds a new thing to frick up. if we keep him then let's be honest that we are doing so by tempering our expectations about what a program with the resources this one has can do within its superficial fricking moral battle.
UGA wants to be the harvard of the south where learnign is #1 and partying is for the dregs, athens wants to be the fricking hippy mecca, and our football program wants to be fricking habitat for fricking humanity

Drug testing beyond PEDs is fricking stupid. They don't make kids on academic scholarships take random piss tests. Weed doesn't improve on field performance. If anything it might hamper it. It has always seemed stupid to me how they greatly reduce standards to get some of the more retarded players into school, and then turn around and hold them to a much higher standard than the general student body.

Just glad we finally figured out how to do shite like the big dogs. If we could get this damn paying players thing down we might go on to miami hurricane type success.

wonderfully put
everyone thinks UGA is fricked for bringing in bad kids. no, it's this hypocritical way of running things and the fact UGA goes beyond the call of duty to form a perfect fricking world where college kids don't do shite. and we live in that world with a coach who cannot facilitate that

i'd love for UGA to be lax on punishment, oversign, and be a generally dick university like Alabama. i'd love for that.
i'd kill for that.
not some pretentious pricks who rely on the fact we have higher standards as their one source of any accomplishment.

Don't hate us cuz you ain't us.

We never have people get arrested, only have a couple of drug test failures here and there, and most guys who stick around for 4 years graduate. That's all I ask for. I don't really care how Saban makes it happen, but he does.

see that's the problem, robot, i am not kidding in the least. but because my fellow fan base often times are so high and mighty you'd think i was jabbing saban.
saban is the precipice of college football. if richt did anything more like him i'd be thrilled. i am with you, i want a UGA where we make the blue bloods happy, idc how it happens.

Oh I know the kind of people you are talking about. My dad is one of them. He gives me hell about how Saban is evil and doesn't care about his players. I always point out that Richt is the one who has kids getting arrested left and right, failing drug tests, and being kicked out of school. He has no response to that.
Ultimately, you don't have to sacrifice positive off the field/in the classroom performance for on field success. You just have to run a really tight ship. Most of these guys need structure and discipline, not a friend.

right, and if our system was so perfect then mark could keep them in line. he can't. either fix the system or fix the coach, UGA will do neither.
at this point it almost looks like we need a disastrous 2012 to have hope and it looks like mark is taking us right to it. i am just afraid we go 9-3 and retain richt. he makes it through a joke of a 2011 after horrid 2008, 2009, and 2010 campaigns and then he comes with all the hype for 2012 only to have another average year and not get fired? that'd be devastating to me.
