Bowl records are a tricky thing. Bear Bryant was 15-12-2. Saban is 7-4, which is pretty good.

I suppose it depends how it plays out. If LSU is simply beaten by a better team, that's one thing...
That's true, the late game clock management that keeps repeating is unreal...I give a coach a pass the first time it happens but good lord.

They were just exhibition games back in Bear's day.

Miles is more on Mack's level
How long has it been since LSU played in a BCS/post New Years bowl?

No, that's about 75% wrong...if it really matters.

Literally, the last time LSU had a chance was 2008. Isn't that how you see it now, too, in retrospect?

Oh hell, I thought there was an actual discussion. Another bowl of Sugar Smacks for Sao.

2007 seems so long ago, I guess.
Doesn't it to you?
I still don't see how LSU is trending down.

Consistently? Not under Miles, which doesn't "fit" the "top 5-10" program they believe themselves to be.

When is the last time the dumpsterfire won a BCS game?

Isn't it a worthy discussion? Convince me Miles is ahead of Stoops at this point. Hey, bow out if you can't. I'll understand. Only a comparison I have in my mind, nothing more.

Yep. Trending down, although we have a ways to go to reach dumpsterfire status.
Flame away!!

2 years stretch of disappointments
I for one don't consider 2011 a disappointment. I wouldn't have bet a nickel that we'd go 13-0 and play for the NC with Lee and Jefferson as QB's. To me, 2011 was an outstanding season regardless of the championship game.
