Not exactly true. There is a general 4 year SOL but the exceptions to it do give the NCAA cover to ignore it when it suits them. Wonder if Emmert will rely on the 4 year SOL to say nothing to see here or will he rely on the exceptions to go after Bama.

The NCAA has never punished a blue blood for a player being paid without the universities knowledge. Especially not recently
