I understand these things have a life of their own but at some point there's nothing productive the fans can do regarding recruiting.
It is possible to waste a lot of angst and time on the comments of the recruits and the parents when a lot of the time their decision is based more on emotion and the salesmanship of the recruiters than the best opportunity available to the kid coming out of high school
Anyway DGB could become a great college player but as an outsider looking in at you guys I don't think missing on him will be all that horrible for Arkansas (you guys will still put points on the board) and I think he could do very well at Missouri where he might become a focus of their offense.
What would probably make a bigger difference to Arkansas would be signing a few highly touted defensive linemen... that is a position of real need and then you'll be cooking with gas

I'm not mad DGB didn't come here. Moved on past that yesterday morning. I'm mad that some bitch has decided that all the sudden we are paying recruits off and she thinks it's a good idea to tell the world.
This is it exactly. I had nothing bad to say about him not coming here. But this article lit me up.
I wanna know how to make voodoo dolls.

this....This.....THIS!!!!
I am really excited about the emphasis on defensive play that can be seen in our recruits.
I was a bit bummed we didn't get DGB, but it really does look like we dodged a bullet here. It reminds me a bit of another #1 recruit in the not-so-distant past. One that we actually did land. One that turned into a steaming pile of excrement......

What's that mean? Is that a 'lemme know' on the dolls?
I suppose. I just want to be a part of history if, by some crazy circumstance, this actually occurred.
Yes. A message board thread would be "history."

I want a Bluetickhound equivalent if this goes ATPB.
Perhaps SuidaeSusScrofa?

I had no problem with Dorial's decision but the article reveals the real agenda. ...and I don't think they realize it. If they do, then that's even worse.

I'm trying to figure out this shite she was saying about 'coaches moving sideways', too, like they were leaving just to get away from Arkansas.
As far as I can tell:
Paul Petrino to Illinois as OC was a move 'up'.
Garrick McGee to UAB as head coach was a move 'up'.
Reggie Johnson to UAB as DC was a move 'up'.
Now Willy was asked to leave or whatever, I'll grant you - but what the shite 'sideways' is she talking about?

From what I gathered the dad was saying that stuff about lateral movement. Guy, moving from a coordinator position to a head coaching position is not a lateral move. Just goes to show how truly stupid the Beckhams are.
JL Smith also accepted a head coaching job.
Funny how they admire that Mizzou's assistant coaches don't get hired or pursued by other schools. If no one wants your assistants then they aren't that good.

Obviously someone got in her ear and had her believing that these people were leaving because Bobby is hard to work with. From the sound of the interview, she definitely sounded very easy to manipulate one way or the other. That's just the name of the game in recruiting though. You find something they light up about or take an interest in and then keep hammering it home.

Crap! Sounds like we REEEEALLY fvcked up by signing this kid. I guess I should have paid more attention to all the "WARNING: DGB is a piece of sh1t from a whack-job family that will blow out his ACL at some point" posts that were so prevalent in here before 9:15a.m. Monday morning.

She and her husband were both just reaching for any excuse they could use to justify why they wanted him to go to Missouri.
I'm glad he did. Had he not chosen Missouri, they wouldn't be happy campers.

I didn't realize this until the article came out. His parents obviously wanted him to choose Mizzou the whole time but they wanted to milk the recruiting process for all it was worth.
I guess it worked, but I feel bad for Mizzou now because of the negative baggage this recruit is bringing along.

IMO, Missouri is the only place he had a chance. I don't have a problem with that. I just believe this mom and dad took everyone else for a ride.
