Not a chance. ESPN has already quoted our athletic department compliance program saying they checked it out and found nothing. That was back in like March.
Actually I believe your AD checked out the story that the sporting market was flooded with Manziel autographs and replied that there was no money exchanged.
The NCAA contacted the broker in June.
So it's plausible that your AD thought this was done.

After countless hours of training from A&M compliance office, Manziel would have to be incredibly stupid to suddenly demand payment. Doesn't seem like Johnny needed any money.
Example: Some other kid from Johnny's high school could make a phone call to a broker demanding payment for photographs tomorrow. Doesn't mean that this demand was 1. authorized by Johnny, 2. credible, specific evidence a request was made?, 3. resulted in financial payment, (again evidence?) or 4. said payment benefitted Johhny. Some kid could scan broker without Johnny having any involvement
" … directly or indirectly, represents or attempts to represent an individual for the purpose of marketing his or her athletics ability or reputation for financial gain …”
So, what's to prevent anyone in the USA from calling up a broker and attempting to solicit money for any kid's autographs?

I'm pretty sure the head coach is privy to eligibility concerns about his quarterback. He had to know, and the way he floundered when the reporter started grilling him was telling.

I never got the memorabilia stuff. Who the frick would pay $100 for some kid's signature? I guess I would if I knew I could turn around and sell if to $200. Otherwise, frick it.
Imagine if you could do that 100 or 200 times over.

Why are they hanging out in Athens on ESPN and only talking about JFF? WIll they even acknowledge the Georgia practice today?

You've got a point. Except that Uncle Nate is Johnny's "personal assistant".
Is that a paid position?

Johnny obviously doesn't personally pay him.

Stolen from TA:
NCAA v Johnny
NCAA v Johnny

So he works for free?

Nate dropped out of school this year to act as Johnny's assistant and manager, handling media requests and helping coordinate the bodyguards from Houston whom Johnny's parents would like them to hire whenever they go out, making sure there's someone around to defuse a confrontation before it begins. Leaving the house brings swarms of people and accompanying drama. "We have to have our own security paid for by us," Nate says, and by "us" he means Johnny's mom and dad.

Uncle Nate is going to end up dead on the side of the road if he doesn't shut up.

wouldn't surprise me if this was all set up with all the money going to nate... with or without JFF's knowledge.

I just can't imagine having my "friend" ask me to sign a thousand autographs without knowing where they are going. Especially when he's been schooled on compliance and knows people are trying to cash in on his fame.

No idea, he apparently dropped out of HS to be his assistant? Sounds more like a designated driver than an agent. But I was speaking hypothetically.
Reminds me of the movie Good Will Hunting, when Ben Affleck goes on the job interview in Matt Damon's place and demands money up front. "Retainer..."
You could do this today and ESPN/CBS/SI, etc. would run out and report it immediately.

Sounds exactly like this was the case. And if Johnny had someone like this as one of his closest friends... he fricked up and doesn't deserve to play this season.

If you knew exactly how the Manziel's got all their money, this becomes less like a joke and more like a potential reality.
Long story short, grandpa Manziel made a lot of money giving people offers they couldnt refuse.

I said Manziel doesn't personally pay him because he can't according to the NCAA.
