Correction...this site WAS a LSU site...it's now the SECrant.com which only has one thing to do with LSU...you're an SEC team.

Manziel has "brought shame to a great sport and University"? Seriously? What has he done? He overslept at the Manning Camp and has been living large all offseason? He may have signed some autos for money that looks like it is going to end up going nowhere?
He's not hurting anyone or even breaking the law outside of his fake ID thing a year and a half ago. He gave a humble and respectable Heisman speech. He has yet to do a bad job on an interview or press conference. He has excellent grades and is on pace to graduate early. If that is bringing "shame" to anything I'd guess half the players in D1 are absolute scumbags by your estimation. It's especially ironic coming from an LSU fan considering what Jeremy Hill has been up to.

The SEC is candy canes and lollipops compared to the Big 12 and Texas (which is nothing compared to the old SWC). Nobody gives a damn about the conference there, it is all about who can screw over who the hardest.
The SEC office also isn't interested in messing with their massive investment in the Texas market, the last thing they want is A&M to go down or even to struggle.

People have very small minds and are easily influenced by others...especially the media.
If you think sitting courtside at sports events, attending a UT frat party where a bunch of drunk assholes threw a beer at him, or sleeping past a meeting at the Manning camp brings shame to A&M...I hope you never have kids. You'll be the most miserable parent and have a family full of shame.

Not sure that the SEC gives that much thought into that or not. While they would like them to do well they are now in the Texas market. And believe it or not there are more people in the state of Texas that would rather watch aTm lose than win. You will also learn that the SEC is more interested in what Bama does than aTm. Bama is their bell cow.
