This. He didn't buy what he allegedly said he was going to buy so its proof the whole thing didn't take place? Talk about grasping at straws.

Johnny isn't the one who needs to prove anything, it is his accusers that need to do that. You can't disprove a negative. So having a guy say Johnny took this money (with no evidence of the money of course) and then further saying "He said he wanted it to buy new rims" hurts the legitimacy of his accuser. This is the same accuser who won't do an on camera interview, won't cooperate with the NCAA, won't show the supposed video he has to anyone but Rovell, and has a criminal record.

That doesn't "prove" Johnny is innocent at all, he may be guilty as hell. It just brings his accusers word into question further because very little of what he has said adds up. You guys keep acting like these brokers making claims without evidence is "proof". If a guy says Johnny signed 4,400 autos that's fine, where are they? If a guy says he paid Johnny money fine, where is the proof of the money changing hands?

Rovell calling untold numbers of brokers and asking them if Johnny signed autos for him hoping to find a few that will say he did without anything to back it up is awfully weak. If he is guilty then show it. These guys run a business, they should have records of the money and they should certainly be able to show either the autos or where they sold them. If they can't then they have no credibility. That is without mentioning the FACT that over 500 brokers were suspended from EBay in January over Manziel's copyright of Johnny Football providing ample reason for them to want to hurt him.

There's pictures of Clowney signing stuff also. That's within the rules.

This all goes away after the seasons first kickoff. ESPN needs some news right now and they won't let actual hard evidence get in the way.

Probably not which is gonna make proving Manziel (Or Uncle Nate) accepting cash for autos that much harder

if you get all parties in different rooms and different peeps are not telling the same story, then it is obvious that someone is lying and covering up..That I think it what the NCAA will find and therefore they may rule him ineligible or suspend him for a number of games.

if someone video taped signing for authentication purposes then my guess is there are others who may not yet have been found who would have conversations taped or on video with money changing hands or them talking about how much money to sign x amount of stuff.

Bama got hammered and no one proved that money changed hands on the Albert Means deal either.

Interesting theory. You're dead wrong of course but still interesting.

Rick Reilly apparently does not understand the difference between a student athlete and a student.

:rotflmao:

The FBI investigated Means HS head coach Lang and found that Alabama booster Logan Young paid him 150,000 dollars. But yeah they never proved money changed hands

If Johnny is innocent, then the stories would match up and obviously no suspension.

So now we are going under the assumption that he is guilty and everyone involved knows he is guilty. If you don't think that by now they have all "gotten on the same page", then I dont know what to tell you.

No.

The most anyone could actually PROVE was much lower.

Also, that case was the SEC via its past commissioner putting a hit on Alabama.

Your opinion of this type of argument is 180 degrees different when we use it.
