He was there by design. AJ got baited into that throw because the defense fooled him.

Good defensive play.

That even universally-accepted-as-Bama-homer Gary Danielson acknowledged was "they stole one". Great play by A&M's defense. Now... do it again.

Not the first time I've gone around the horn with Gumps on this

Good defense usually causes picks, unless your QB is a retard (and we all know AJ is a good QB). Not hard to admit for most.

Nah I'm just saying it was a fumble because of a nice hit and a very fortunate int. Dont put that one on AJ, not his fault.

That one at the end though, that was all AJ, he had Coop wide open running to the corner.

ESPN has reported that Manziel is being examined for allegedly signing autographs for money before last January's BCS title game between Alabama and Notre Dame. Such a deal would compromise Manziel's status as an amateur. Darnell said the NCAA has not started an investigation into Manziel and that there has been no formal allegations made by the NCAA.

In JFF's words, this is "surreal". I've wondered about this and the only thing that made me think it was real was ESPN. Now? Who knows? Won't this be weird if in a week we're wondering what all the hubbub was about?

The nice hit was due to good defense. Porter intercepting it was due to good defense (re: the hit). Don't know why it's so hard for y'all to accept this. Even the best QB gets picked off every now and then. Sometimes the defense just wins a play. And they won twice against AJ in the turnover department.

It was completely his fault. He got baited into throwing into a bad spot, thus leading to the INT. A&M's DC fooled him, but it was still on AJ for throwing into coverage.

Most likely the investigation will occur toward the end of the season after JFF has played in several games. How convenient.

but who hires a lawyer to defend themselves when there is no investigation?

I can't even believe he said that out loud much less to a reporter. How can that possibly be believable? He was hired 2 weeks ago even so you can't even blame it on the ESPN reports.

and FFS, the Manziels put out a statement like 3 hours ago saying that it is A&M policy not to comment on investigations and so they will honor that. And that statement was written by him

Aggie circle jerk just getting warmed up. At least we know that a lawyer would never lie to try to make thinks look better than they.

I hope dude plays every game, but he deserves to be banned from playing again in college.

No idea. Maybe questions to the family from ESPN?

I'm not ready to declare victory, but if this guy know what he's talking about and there really is no investigation... well, here we go. And woe be unto Joe Schad.

But I won't break out the bubbly just yet.

Statement is probably true, but it's really splitting hairs. The NOI and NOA aren't sent by the NCAA unless and until informal fact finding and review leads to enough evidence to send the NOI and start the formal investigation clock.

I for one have never thought pics were from good defense. Being that I played a little qb in high school, I always felt that pics were products of dumb throws

Is this a contradiction?

And why do you want him banned? His personality aside, if you're a fan of football, you want to watch JFF play, whether you admit it or not.
