Yeah he definitely had some in-game coaching decisions that leaves us all scratching our heads but one thing people don't realize is he barely had anyone to mentor him.

His only real mentor in his collegiate career was an idiot(speaking in terms of 2005-07) ed orgeron for a little over a year at a point where O was way in over his head and basically dead in the water...then he jumped to extremely low-level head coaching gigs with the exception of less than a year as ASU's OC. Point is that he has basically been learning as he goes since being at work ole miss.

There's a definite give and take with us regarding freeze. Most fans will admit that some of his decision has cost us games and close to costing us more....but also that he did a remarkable job building us up from being 2-10 and a depleted roster. Our hope is that he will eventually work out all of his kinks and learn from his mistakes.....and also realize some gimmicks that worked in high school or the sun belt rarely works in the SEC.

Fair point, I guess if there is one thing a coach can improve on it would be in game decisions with experience.

I think one positive about going down this road is I don't expect him to ever use Ole Miss as a stepping stone. He obviously loves this school even before all this mess. If he survives this he is going to be loyal to Ole Miss and won't be going anywhere until Ole Miss wants him to.

Thanks bud. One thing that I have going for me in all of this is that I realize none of this actually affects my life one bit. We could get the death penalty and all that means is more time in the fall to fish. I'm living states away, don't have season tickets, don't give any money....nothing. Yeah, I love watching the rebs play but i don't let it make me lose any sleep at night.

I do enjoy friendly bantering with other fans, though.

Disclaimer: before someone like diamondog goes through my old posts....I fully admit that this wasn't always the case

With what we pay him, the general feel is that the only thing that could possibly pull him away is bama, Texas, etc. money. I'd be perfectly fine with that as it more than likely would mean us being able to hang actual banners in our stadium

Ya but honestly I still wouldn't be surprised if he turned down a job like that to stay at Ole Miss. At least when comparing his loyalty to some of the other coaches in the SEC. I guess money always wins at the end of the day though.

If he turns down 9-10 million a year to stay at ole miss then I'll be happy as hell and the same time tweeting @ him that he's an idiot.

I fricking love my alma mater but an extra 3+ million a year can buy me one big assed ole miss theme boat.

True and there is no doubt that an extra 3 or 4 million a year is a lot but I think some forget that most are already loaded. A lot depends on the coach's lifestyle. But we already know most of these coaches don't have a lot of time to spend their money if they want to keep making that type of money.

What makes you think this?

From a legal standpoint....it's much smarter to leave it with the attorneys....for multiple reasons.

One of which is the ability to have some things be dealt with on our terms instead of the public's.

I Didn't say the attorneys didn't have it. Of course they do. But if you think the school doesn't also have a copy then you're a special kind of guy. There would obviously be ongoing communications between the attorney and school and would have to be material both parties could reference.

Um, let's make a list of everything you were directly wrong about and compare it to the board.

Is there a possibility of a copy being stashed somewhere deep in bjork's desk? I wouldn't doubt it. But officially(legally), we haven't received the NOA from the NCAA.

So they ARE lying......... Again.

Also...you guys are correct in that no ole miss fan is denying that we cheated. We just got caught playing the same game that everyone else plays. We do have an issue with offering our rivals immunity which basically allows them to say whatever the hell they want and makes us have to prove it wrong.

No. You got caught playing a different game where STAFF sets up recruits with boosters.
For money
For paymts to families of recruits
For use of boosters personal properties to recruits.
And said staff includes your ASSISTANT AD!

There's a lot of charges in the original NOA that have already been self-punished with the ncaa's input. Player suspensions, players paying back, etc.

No there's not. You just made that up.

So just how much of a diaper rash do you have right now?

So you're just gonna ignore things like Tunsil being suspended for 7 games? And you obviously never actually read our response to the original NOA. If you did, you would have read where players have already been forced to pay back some of the violations like compensating the coach for sleeping on his coach.

I realize that explaining things to you is useless as you've already proven to put for absolutely zero effort into researching your argument.

Mullen has a losing record to this coach. And you guys just gave him an extension after losing 7 regular season games.

You really have no room to talk

Mississippi state was on probation for almost half of Freeze's career here so......

ETA: which included MSU's greatest season ever.
