FWIW, I think Bama is absolutely the better team, but its a good question to pose considering their records and how the ranking are supposed to be based on merit.
And here comes the "Bitter/little brother/whiner/etc." comments. Its just insecurity, so I'm fine with it.

LSU won the SEC West and was ranked #1.
To my particular point, though, LSU would have been in the national championship game regardless of whether it beat Georgia or not.

#3 was blown out. Game (uf) was garbage with turnovers. Bama held the top spot and the pressure that goes with it for nine weeks.
