From who? It was my understanding that networks negotiate and enter terms with the conference, not the individual schools. So I’m curious if this is an actual problem for Texas/OU or if Dennis Dodds just had to hit a deadline to publish something today.

Good. Still time for the deal to fall through ?

I want OU and Texas to join. More drama, better games and eventually more cash for everyone.

OU looks like fricking shite right now.

Absolutely wrong… Slive had given Loften his commitment that A&M would be the only SEC school in Texas.
That gentleman’s agreement was not honored by Stankey… little prick.

Come on man, you can’t really believe this.
There are already 2 SEC teams from Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee. Why would Slive and the SEC handcuff itself like that and lock itself out of both Texas and OU (who is joined at the hip with Texas). That just doesn’t make any sense.
Slive was going to say whatever he needed to ensure the deal happened smoothly, knowing he wasn’t going to be around forever.

Hello, friend. Why do you think OU and Texas were unable to save the Big 12 after A&M left?
