Arky is having their version of the Bayou Bash this year. It is called "Signing Day in the Rock with Bobby Petrino."
It is an evening affair with a silent auction, dinner, and then a program. Sounds boring as hell.
Oh yeah...and the hook is to come see the Cotton Bowl trophy. I guess that is the biggest thing Arky has had to be excited about in a long time.

Yeah, sure. We copied that from LSU.

You're right. Fundraisers should never happen outside LSU.

Well I hate R-kansas as much as the next man.....but I don't think LSU invented the recruiting party scene

Yeah. That sounds EXACTLY like something that would happen at LSU.

Pretty sure Petrino has done that every year since he got here. I know I went to one in Fayetteville at the Town Center back in '09 or '10, can't remember which.
They're fun.

Pretty sure we've done that since Petrino came.

This is the 16th annual Bayou Bash at LSU.
If memory serves me correctly, LSU was the first school to host a signing day party. Sure...other schools may have signing day parties now. But I am pretty sure LSU started it 16 years ago.

recruiting party scene
Arkansas' recruiting party use to be Houston Nutt at the podium of the team meeting room with a white board behind him talking about these 32 signees who have the Razorbacks in their heart and are chomping at the bit to play for the sticker on their helmet and not the name on their backs.

Which explains why I never went to one before BMFP.

So? Hell, even if LSU did it first I'm not above borrowing a good idea. Now quit screaming for attention.

You don't know? LSU invented everything... everything.

Lets see...we copied our signing day party from LSU.
We copied the Tiger Walk, (like everybody in the Universe) from Auburn.
We probably copied football from somebody, too. My guess is Alabama. I believe a few of their fans believe it was invented in Tuscaloosa.
What else....
I guess I'm just glad we never copied anything from A&M.

You forgot to include that Arky copied chiseling graduate's names in the sidewalk from Lousiana Tech.
