ok...here's my .02. no, we were never a rival of texas...while they were #1 on our list, at best we were 3rd on their list behind ou and aTm...as far as the pissing contest with lsu, they win for now. they've stepped up their game past 7 years, however prior to that they weren't much more relevant than we were. in fact, i'm pretty sure we were more relevant than they were in the 60's 70's and 80's....maybe not, but i'm sure our win/loss records cant be that far off during those years...biggest difference is past 7-8 years, can't argue that..2 crystal balls speak for themselves....but c'mon lsu....you're no where near on the same level as a bama, ou, texas, uscw, ohio st....stay on top like you are for another decade or so then you can start talking like you belong on their level....you're a good 2nd tier team that has overachieved in the past few years....you should continue to thank saban for that

From 1950-1980 Arkansas had a better winning percentage than LSU 0.65923 to 0.65103. Slight but there nonetheless.

LSU has:
3 NCs
10 SECCs
arky has:
0 NCs (BCS, AP, or Coaches)
0 SECCs
I don't think there is any way to spin that in your favor arkies, sorry.
I admit that Bama and Texas are better programs than us. I would think we are closer to OU and tOSU, especially after beating them in BCSNCGs but I would have to see how many champs they have each.
