I guess that's debatable but even then the 90's are the sole decade in which LSU wasn't a top 15 program at worst so it's moot as far as this conversation is concerned.

98 was the closest. Our transition to the SEC showed how ill equiped we were to compete.
Frank miscalculated how ready we were.
I was at the Citadel game, where we lost and Jack Crowe was fired the following Monday. I didn't go back to a football game for 5 years.
Remember, we were still running the wishbone in the late 80s.
It was almost as miserable for us as it was for you. Purely painful.
