So, a fourth place finish with a young team trumps everything that Alabama has accomplished with Saban, and insures that Saban won't continue to succeed. Meanwhile, Petrino's 23-16 record at Arkansas insures future success. Noted.

You want to bring up Bama history with Saban? Or do you just want to bring up the BCS title won in '09? If you want to stand on Saban's complete resume at Bama, then I can point to losses to Louisiana Monroe and frikin UTAH in the Sugar Bowl.

Knile Davis, Tyler Wilson, Marquel Wade, Brey Cook, Tevin Mitchell, Robert Thomas, etc... under the tutelage of Petrino is what ensure's future success.

Does Saban's continued success not promote the idea that he will continue to win at a high level? He's won two BCS titles for Christ's sake. You piglets need to shut the frick up until you actually accomplish something. No SEC titles. Not a conference title since 1989 of any sort. No major bowl wins in 30 years. Shut the frick up.

And of course Alabama's loaded roster is just overrated, right? Nevermind the 1st round picks Saban continues to churn out, and has over his career.

Oh cute. The Arkansas fans are cocky this year.

The season will give us the answer.

Let me get this straight. Alabama beat Arkansas last year. Both finished 10-3. Alabama finished ranked higher. Arkansas finished a game up in the SEC West. All of this leads you to actually believe that while Alabama brings back more starters off a young team, you think Arkansas is primed to win, while Alabama is not? Comical.

Arky can't even win a BCS bowl game with a vet QB. Why you
? Count the Crystal?

Don't argue with delusional pigges.

Who's your QB? That's a pretty important position IMO

I think Bama could win the West, but I also think the Tide could finish 3rd in the West. I'm just arguing against those whose say it's only b/w Bama and LSU. Right now, I think Bama and Arky should be the two favorites, with LSU and MSU close behind.

Still got that crystal. What you got?

And Alabama used the same formula in 2009 to win a national title. However, both QBs Alabama has now competing for the job are both physically more advanced that McElroy ever was. Winning with a rookie QB is not impossible. A national title caliber defense and a strong running game is what it takes. Special teams will be among the best as well.

Yeah but any time you lose your top passer, rusher and receiver in the same year there are question marks, even for mighty Bama.
My point is all 3 teams (Ark, LSU, Bama) have question marks and I could see any of them winning the division, probably with 1 or more losses.

Arkansas will have just as good run game and much better passing game. Arky's defense will not be as good as Bama's, but I expect it to be top 25 next season.
As far as special teams, I wouldn't trade Arky's unit for any in the nation. Joe Adams returning punts, Dennis Johnson on kickoffs, Zach Hocker was a great field goal kicker as a true frosh last season, and Dylan Breeding was a solid, clutch punter for us last season.

Every national title contender is going to have question marks. Even 2001 Miami and 2004 USC did going into the season.

QB, RB and WR are pretty significant question marks though.

It's kinda cute. Younger brother flexing some 6th grade muscle. Even younger brothers win once in a while.
