Well part of the reseating is going to have students wrapped around the whole court.
BOOM
There it is.
The whiners on Twitter/X didn't talk about that part.
As usual, the real story comes out later.

Is that what Duke has been doing?

Some will complain, but I think it’s a good thing.
I donate at a BM level…but have not been able to improve my seats for ever. There are A LOT of people who have prime seats who donate less than I do. There are ticket holders who donate as low as $500 yearly to the foundation that sit 3 rows off the floor.
I just want fairness, and that’s what this reorganization to seating brings to the fans and program.
It’s not about corporate tickets or any of that nonsense. It’s about some like me, who get to our seat selection each year and are unable to move or improve our seats.

All seats are up for grabs.
Next season you have to give $40,000 plus to have first chance at picking seats. Most people that have had season tickets at the lower level close to the court gave no where near that much.
Most would have to triple or quadruple or more their current donation just to get a chance to keep their current seat at any location in the lower bowl.
My folks were on the waiting list at Barnhill. Got seats when Bud Walton opened 32 years ago. Kept buying season tickets through the down years of Heath and Pelphrey. Upped their donation every time they were asked even if it was a sacrifice. Even upped it again on the latest money grab. They will be lucky to even be sitting in the lower bowl next year. There are many like them. That’s why people are angry.

I agree that the students should get preference over the alumni. We had our chance, now it’s their turn.
Not implying we should have no say as we are footing a lot of the bill but the students should be first in my opinion.
