We'll never know, but like he showed at Louisville it could have all been a paper tiger once his lack of recruiting caught up to him.
I agree that the 2010 team was better, two of their losses were by 4 to Alabama and 5 to Ohio State, with the other coming on the road to national champion Auburn with Mallett knocked out of the game. The 2011 team was good but narrowly escaped losing against some pretty shitty teams.
I might have 2006 above 2011 too but that one is close.

Thank God for booze. I don’t remember much of that game (see previous sentence) but I do remember right near the beginning one of our defenders knocking the poop out of one of your players - in a good way not thug POS way- and thinking to myself ‘that’s right mother effers’ and either the next play or soon thereafter it all fell to shite. Again, thankful for liquor.

It meant that in the summer of 2012 Arkansas sports radio was confident that Arkansas was a better program than LSU.

2010 was indeed the year. Mallett blew it down the stretch with a pick against Bama and the refs against Auburn weren't gonna let Cam lose.
