My guess Arkansas football is .500 this century. Basketball is probably much higher winning percentage.

The Wal-Mart heirs care nothing about Arkansas. Maybe Tyson’s could buy the football coach as well?

Should’ve actually been Saban went to Alabama

Alabama was in the right place at the right time. Is there another Calipari out there not appreciated by his current school? Timing matters

Aaron Torres says Gruden hints at coaching in sec. I don't recall Gruden being very successful
Gruden has been a NFL HC. Jerry Jones is a NFL owner. He could influencd Gruden to take the Arkansas job.

Needs to stay the heck away. He can just focus on killing the cowboys.

Chucky is entertaining but would be Belichick 2.0.

Not sure you’re aware, but football coaches, both college and pro, are not known to be the highest character guys. The last truly high character coach I’m aware of was Tom Landry.

2. Never been a HC in the NIL/portal era. Need more than x and o skills. Need soft skills to work portal, social media, and out side box thinking on NIL.
All it takes is money, and plenty of it. Petrino had us competitive with 25% of the payroll that Saban, Miles, Richt and others were working with.

3. He’s early to mid 60’s. Even if successful, Arkansas has another coaching search possible in 5 years. If they are making a change, don’t need to be short sighted.
Which is pretty much perfect. He is the best coach willing to take the job, and feels like he owes the program and fans something.
The smell of fear is stronger from some of you than I thought this possibility would generate.

The Wal-Mart heirs care nothing about Arkansas.

No it was rob. The Walton's now are not into sports. Not sure what they into but not hog football for sure

No. Belichick is too old to be a HC. Proved it. Gruden isn't that old and should have no problem coaching a college football team.

If one Walton was interested he could write 80 million check. I think no Walton will do that. Sam or Bud might have

Jerry Jones brought us Chad. He can't get cowboys back. So ignore him
