To be fair, Arkansas doesn't have the talent stock-piled like Auburn did

2014 Arkansas returns quite a bit including 4 freshmen All Americans, Freshman POY in league, 3 starters on the Dline, 2 starters at LB, and the back 4.

QB is where this team needs better play and THAT will determine how good Arkansas is.

I get depressed every time I think about what it must be like to be a hog fan.

Marshall being back there will help IMo.

Also, just losing Eric Bennett gives me more confidence

WTF are you talking about? That looks to be as tough of a schedule as I have seen.

I give Arky shite, but they have some good young talent on their team. They have some O Line that received recognition, some talented TE's and of course Collins. They need some help at QB and WR. BB will get them competing in the SEC imo.

The SEC West is going to be fricking brutal in two years. I mean it is already brutal as hell, and then you add on UT will get better in the East. Add Mizzou, USC, UGA, Vandy is playing a tough brand of football. Stoops at KY looks to be putting together a team that could steal a win or two, and at the very least put up a damn good fight. UF I am sure they won't be down long, but it will take a little time I am guessing.

I would too knowing that your program has been Arkansas' whipping boy for years.

Plus we're polar opposites, we have a lot of built in disadvantages and always manage to compete outside of this year. A&M has every built in advantage you can think of and is still a mediocre program.

Now I'm getting depressed for you guys, :e-hug:

Ole Miss would be worse. All the trappings of a competitive program without the competitive program. They have a good time with it, but to get up each Saturday and go through the motions knowing you're not even going to compete for your own division...it's gotta be tiring.

We've recently just started using our advantages by joining the SEC and divorcing our abusive little brother, so don't be depressed for us. The sleeping giant has awoken.

Our best WR was out this year IMO. Wilson will be back, hopefully 100% next season

Surely we can find one QB out of Peavey, Allen brothers, and Duwop

I can't agree here. They need some depth all over, a bigger RB, and they will compete well. They have some pretty good wins this year. Great talent at some key positions.

So the sleeping giant awakens with the school's all-time best player and coach you've always wanted, and manages to get all the way to 3rd and 4th in the West?

Wow, I feel even worse for you guys. I'll make you a drink.

It's possible, but in recent history, they haven't been able to. I guess that could change, but I'm not optimistic. I would agree that it is a decent time to be an Ole Miss fan, especially if you have reasonable expectations.

I feel like I missed some news about A&M. Did something happen to our coach or recruiting classes? Arkansas is a bottom-feeder who hasn't beaten A&M since we've been in this conference. That isn't changing anytime soon.

Yeah man, those 2 years are obviously a big enough window to judge future outcomes

Seems to me that since we've made the move to claim our birthright, we haven't lost to lesser programs. Coincidence?

Wow, extreme self denial.

I'll make your drink a double...

Well at least you're taking the first step in admitting your program is below Bama, LSU, Auburn, and Mizzou. Step one is always the hardest.
