i know that. you know that. brad edwards knows that. and even said as much in the post you quoted. everyone knows that. so i guess the real question is...what is the purpose of your post? to tell us all (including brad edwards) something we already knew?

The OP put it in a format that insinuated that Edwards was confused by bracketing the event of an Alabama loss with discussion of three way tie scenarios. Edwards is a fairly eloquent guy, and wouldn't sound like that rantarded quotation, though it is exactly the sort of thing you see requoted later verbatim.

An ounce of prevention now is worth a pound of curing rantarded repetition later.

This is exactly right.

Since this is hypothetical, I need an LSU fan to please explain to me how a, what would then be 11-1 Arky with a win over the #1 ranked LSU team would remain at #3? Or are you saying that with an Arky win it will be #1 Arky, #2 LSU, and #3 Bama, which I guess is possible but not likely? Because if you're saying that if you lose to Arky it will be #1 Bama, #2 LSU, #3 Arky or #1 LSU, #2 Arky, #3 Bama, well that's just stupid. NO WAY that happens.

In 2/3 of the polling, Arkansas will be ahead of LSU. LSU will not have a single fricking #1 vote. Not one.
What will the voting look like then? Bama-Arky-LSU? If not a single vote could go for LSU over Arky, why do you think a single vote could go for Bama over LSU?

actually there is a very good chance it falls out

bama
lsu
arkansas

in the bcs on sunday even if arkansas wins. if you cant grasp that you dont know how the bcs works.

take a look at oklahoma state. currently #6 in the humans polls. #4 in the BCS.

why...becuase of their computer score.

Because, for some stupid reason, it's not how you lose...it's when you lose.

I would think it would be Bama (50% 1st place votes), LSU (30% 1st place votes), and Arky (20% 1st place votes) - computers would then kick in and have LSU-Bama-Arky as 1-2-3, with Bama going to the SECCG

*Even switch LSU and Arky at 2-3 in the polls - the votes will be close enough that our computer advantage would push us ahead

very possible except LSU would go the SECCG. Not bama.

Dude, seriously??? Because that's how college football works. The later you lose, the worse it is. Have you ever watched college football? I mean, I've had to read on this board for 2 weeks now why Oregon should be in a rematch with LSU over Bama because we "WERE AT HOME!!! OH THE HORROR!!!" and how Oregon lost early and has improved.

Again, in 2/3 of polls Arkansas will be ahead of LSU.

There has never been a single instance in history that the #3 team won at #1, and #1 stayed ahead of the team that it just lost to. It has never happened.

That leaves the other 1/3.

Even in a worst case scenario for Arkansas, we are the BCS #2.

I can't emphasize enough how little I care about going to a BCSNC play-in game with Georgia. I'm fine going to the BCSNC and not playing for the conference title.

do you even understand how the human polls work?

It's not cut and dry you are 2/3 ahead in the polls. If you think that then that is why you dont understand the BCS.

If you just would've told me that you're stupid earlier, I wouldn't have had to waste my time.

ALL 3 teams will get 1st place votes if Arky beats LSU, in a relatively close game. ALL 3 teams.

Correct

Ok State is #2 in the computers and are #4 in the BCS while being ranked 6th in 2/3 human votes. So with LSU having a vastly superior computer score than Ark, even with a loss we will jump you. What people don't realize is the formula breaks down actual votes not poll location.

What's puzzling me is what took Edwards so long to finally determine this.
