I think we've put out some pretty good players in the past relative to our talent pool

PC: Our "demographics" suck compared to a couple of similar sized states (LA, MS, AL) as well.

Non-PC: Not only are we as small as MS and half the size of AL and LA, we have a lot fewer black people. The overwhelming number of blacks in the state are Little Rock east. Little Rock turns out basketball recruits left and right, but less so football. And many of the kids in the delta don't have the grades to play football in high school, much less college. It is actually kind of sad really, if more of those kids could just bootstrap their lives a bit they could climb out of the poverty and maybe bring their families with them. Everything is set up for them to fail though. I'm from Helena and was lucky enough that my family moved to a place with public schools which were at least decent.

You hit the nail on the head.

I am hopeful that new coaches in the Little Rock system with open that pipeline back up.

Central was a powerhouse till 04-05. I heard they won a game or 2 last year. I hope they get back on track.

I'm not sure what the story is on Lowe. I've heard that he is one of the top athletes in the state if not the best but he has no offers. Is there a problem with his grades? That's the only thing I can think of with him.

I think part of hold up on Lowe is that he plays in such a small classification that BP will want to see all the film of him that he can. If he has a good year, which he will, then I think he will most likely get an offer.
I've met the kid cos I work with his mom and he definitely has the frame to add weight and muscle and could make a monster safety which is where he projects. He's a very athletic three sport star (fb,bb,and bs ball) and he likes to hit. I live in Fordyce and I was talking to our ex AD about the kid and his opinion is that he is definitely D1 material. Said he had the size, speed and talent. This guy has been around football a long time and coached Ray Lee Johnson and Kevin Williams so I respect his opinion.
