Historically Arkansas has recruited Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Louisiana, Tennessee and Mississippi for players. Now Sam has been in Georgia lately.

Most in the little Rock metro school districts play basketball but don't play football.
Some of the higher rated recruits especially in Northwest Arkansas are not from the area.
