Both teams continually fail to reach expectations when they get there.
Arkansas has more expereince, though so I'll go with them.

i say arkansas just because of the solid qb situation.
i feel usc is banking too much on the east not being as strong as usual?

February 2011 will be here before you know it. Stay strong.

South Carolina because as a fanbase they really don't expect much, unlike many Arkansas fans...

Most of these preseason top-25 polls has us at #15-25. That would mean about a 9-3 season.
5-3 in conference is definitely do-able.

I think Arkansas is the better team but I'm picking South Carolina to be more likely to live up to expectations just because Arkansas plays in the west.

Those were Nutt's teams. What expectations have Petrino's Hogs not met?

They've never had any big time expectations, though I'd argue that they fell a little short this year. Thing is in the past 15 years Arkansas has never lived up to high expectations. I know that most of that was with Nutt, but it could be a program issue.
I guess we'll find out this year.

Okay. So in 2009 you thought Arkansas should have finished in the top 25? Cause that's basically what a slight improvement would have likely resulted in. You're the one! Pretty much, optimistic Arkansas fans were the only people even mentioning something like that as remote possibility. I'm curious to see what you think Arkansas will do in 2010 with another year of experience for the young guys under their belt and a more favorable schedule.

What expectations? We've never really been predicted to do shite. We'll sneak up on people, but Arkansas hasn't been a consistent preseason top 25 team in ages.

No. I didn't expect Arkansas to win any more games than they did.
I just expected them to play better football.
Your record was better than your team was, ya dig?

South Carolina wins the East and Ole Miss wins the West. Then it starts snowing inside the dome at the SECCG and Cuba invokes child labor laws.

This would make for the most epic SECCG ever.
Can you imagine how hard each of these teams would play?
