I think they could be. South Carolina was supposed to be a big win. Now it looks like South Carolina is not a very good team. We may not truly find out until October. They will be undefeated going into the Miss State game.

Sumlin will always have a great offense. The defense is very young this year playing lots of talented first and second year players. I'm not sure it won't be another year or two before they can stop the very good teams.

No doubt that lsu matches up good against us. I think we may drop that one and one of the alabama schools. I'd be disappointed with more than 2 losses. Next year I think we'll have the depth we need to compete with anybody.

The offense is flat out explosive. The only weakness, MAYBE, is the lack of a premiere running back, which could be an illusion at this point. Don't know.
I understand that it's bad practice to compare apples to oranges.. but South Carolina only scored 5 more points against East Carolina than they did against aTm. And that was with Mike Davis.
So that leads me to believe the defense has some big holes again. The good news is there is starting to be a lot more talent. I see 3 losses this year.
Kenny Hill hasn't been pressured at all yet. I think that teams with decent linebackers and good secondaries are going to give him fits and bring out his youth/cause turnovers.
Honestly, I think you are a defensive coordinator and a year away from making big noise.

That's a great point. I really want to see if we can exhibit an explosive running game (when necessary) against the top teams in the conference; especially LSU. With how well LSU's secondary matches up with our WR's, I think that is the ONLY way we have a chance to finally get another win against y'all. That secondary coupled with the LB's are killing us.

Y'all already appear better than I thought you would. But with most teams, its too early to really know how good everyone is. The West looks to be an absolute bloodbath this year. Though we still don't know yet, exactly how good LSU and Bama will be.
