Are Players Actually Buying Into Lame Lane's "villain" Narrative?

Obviously everything he's doing is to boost his brand as college football's "villain"...that's the shtick he and his agent decided on. Do today's social media savy players actually buy into it? Maybe...who knows...probably don't care as long as the deposits hit...but all of this BS is just for Lane. He won big first game so the LSU admins are now even more scared to reign him in. It is an interesting soap opera...they literally have sold their souls to win big potentially...and sacrificed overall university reputation to do it. There is no AD or school president. Lane runs Louisiana State University now for better or worse.
