Where did you post those stat lines? I thought Brennan was pretty solid but his defense never helped him out.

If it does, I'm quite certain it is to a far lesser degree than 1980, 2nd and 26, and the 2012/2018 SEC CGs assuredly do you.

I wouldn't say so. Analysts are ranking projecting a handful of other QB's to have better seasons than him for the reasons you listed. Us Georgia fans are probably the ones overrating him, but we do that with every QB we have.

I'm cautiously optimistic in thinking that with a full offseason and him being fully healthy, he will have a great year. Probably not a Heisman contender year, but enough to win most if not all our games.

Pressure is definitely the thing he has to improve on, which makes sense given his limited PT.

9/19 (47.4%)
123 Yards
6.5 YPA
1 TD
1 INT

Out of 20 SEC passers who had 25 dropbacks against Pressure, his rank was......

Completion % - #9
Yards Per Attempt - #7

Yikes, this Daniels guy is no bueno.

Thanks. I do think Brennan was a pretty solid qb. Daniels gets dinged because of the SC game because they decided to stop the pass so we ran it down their throat. And like Diddly said, his YPA was a full yard higher which is a big mark.

Brennan takes a big hit on his completion percentage and touchdowns/yards per attempt because LSU receivers dropped so many passes early in the year.

I'm just basing my statement that they were "close" on what I saw from both players.

I'd be interested to see the PFF grades for each but I'm not a PFF subscriber.

Brennan had both of these things happen to him also.

Maybe he did, but you are less than trust worthy, so which games did this occur in?

would bet money that a scouting service like PFF would agree with me and grade both quarterbacks very close, all things considered.

You say this because basic proper stats like passer efficiency rating prove you wrong, right?

Want advanced stats that are widely available? ESPN QBR. Top games by each:

1. 96.8
2. 91.0
3. 77.4

4. 75.3
5. 74.1

6. 59.0

7. 45.1

Top 3 are Jtd, 4,5, and 7 are your boy.

It's always someone else's fault with these LSU people.

I hear you and add that JTD played while still recovering from a knee injury.

I'm not either and I don't take them as gospel though like some. I believe they had Corral at #1 and JTD at #2 but I could be thinking of a different measurement.

None of these take drops and other issues into account which is what I did when I made my original statement.

A lot of their stuff is subjective but I've always liked the individual quarterback grades that they do.

Yes they do

Not really, he was the other kid in the Fields, Lawrence discussion in HS.

He makes good decisions with the ball. He will get his mobility back so he will look better vs pressure and the healed knee should get him stepping into the deep ball better.

Doesn't have to be great, so I think he has already surpassed expectations.

It’s taking a selfie and being stupid enough to let it get out that’s the worst thing in this entire sorry episode. If O was just a guy working for a local school or most businesses he more than likely be looking for another job. The guy has a lot of baggage and this just adds to his unsavory image. After the NCAA gets thru with LSU I expect he will be shown the door. If I were LSU I’d fight that huge buy out on morals violations
