Just because bama is successful and you're a bama fan, doesnt make you successful. You are no different then anyone else that lives in Louisiana, but you think you're special because you root for a good team.

Yes, it happens a lot with college freshman. However, unless Gilbert plans on signing with Ga Tech, he's not going to escape that situation of being away from his family on a daily basis.
There’s a big difference between being an hour or two away from home, and 8 hours away from home. You can be homesick and not have to literally live at home. Just being close by can make a huge difference in someone’s psyche.

Maybe, but I know plenty of kids I grew up with that couldn't handle living in Oxford, an hour away from Memphis. Not coming home to your family every day is a big culture shock to most people, and only being an hour away doesn't change that. Regardless, if LSU was winning, I doubt he'd be homesick right now.
