You ever heard of him? And learn how to spell lacquer for frick's sake.

It's the point he's trying to make. That's what everyone is talking about..not who he is. I could personally care less.

And, naturally, all the good ol crimson tide fans of the SEC rant will do anything to defend sweet baby jesus nick saban, even in the face of the utmost, blatant scrutiny.

For what it's worth, I just don't think SABAN has the right to call anyone out. The guy has more enemies than friends. And no, that's not because of his success coaching, for you uneducated type. He is just a complete a-hole. I know plenty of Alabama fans who actually said that they love him as the coach(of course), but as a person he is a complete dick, and you can see why he is not liked..

And he's been writing for the AP since at least 98. Google brought up a host of stories he wrote covering the home run chase.

Ah...the infamous home run chase of 1998. Roger Maris still owns that record, fwiw.

For the record, Saban is a god and is above all hypocrisy, character issues, etc. He changes the rules as he sees fit.

Can Lacour prove that this guy is a Page 1 writer? I highly doubt his editorials even appear on Page 1 of the sports section. Sure, this guy has had some pieces appear in the Boston Globe and the Chicago-Sun Times but his facts on this matter are pretty sketchy. He says that Saban left Akron for Michigan State. Saban never even set foot in Akron, he was at Toledo. And besides, he left the Cleveland Browns for Michigan State.

A top journalist wouldn't make mistakes like that. Hell, any jack arse can look on Saban's wikipedia page and see where he's coached.

Jane Pauley set explosives to blow up cars and blame the manufacturer.

Yet she is considered a top journalist.

Put a cork up your arse to stop the bloodflow and just get over it.

you do realize these are 2 of the most prominent newspapers in the country. They are not gonna let some average joe walk in there and publish his stories

I don't doubt the guy has credentials. I'm just making the point that there is no way in hell that this is the AP's lead sports writer. That was the original point that was made and that's what I'm arguing.

It's a kid's decision to go to a party, numbskull. While I don't necessarily agree with the timing and the agents actions, you can't just dismiss it like they took dareus from his house and made him go to the party.

Dareus and his family think otherwise.

Well no shite, einstein..he better hope his coach takes up for him or else he won't be playing.

I could provide you with hundreds of comments from former fellow coaches, assistants, players, managers..on and on..from the search result page but i don't feel like posting it for your dumb arse.

Just shut up, dipshit... Half of my family attends or went to Alabama. I have tons of friends who are Alabama fans..some of them about as bright as a fricking block of wood like you, which is to say they'll defend their piece of shite, lying coach till death do nicky and alabama part.

Saban, was speaking up for all the coaches of the SEC. Other coaches including Meyer and Spurrior have voiced similar things, yet Saban gets crucified by the media because he doesn't cater to them and treats a lot of them like shite. Was Saban being a little hypocritical? Maybe, but who of us hasn't been at times. The heart of the point he was making all along is that it's a one way street as far as punishment goes. The players get punished (rightly so) and the University and the fans suffer because of this, all the while, the agent goes right on about his business.
