By definition, any coach who beats Steve Spurrier twice in a season and wins the SECCG can't be considered among the most incompetent. He may be in the bottom 25%, and he certainly has a lot of warts, but among the most incompetent? No.

Can he tackle? We haven't had a LB that could tackle in a coons age. I hope he doesn't put too much weight into bowl games.... Seriously though we need a couple LBs really bad.

I mean, Kirkland was solid when he was actually on the field but he’s just one of the soft batch type of recruits that Botch loved. VQ said this morning he didn’t “gel” with the new defensive staff and now wants to follow LB guru Tommy Thigpen to UNC lmao.

If he’s choosing to sit out a year to get coached up by Thigpen rather than play for Sherrer and Rumph, more power to him lol
