I’ll give him a pass on the weather but when announcers called him number one kicker in country I knew he was doomed

He doesn’t do kickoffs and if he keeps missing I have a feeling the guy who does will get a shot.

Peyton is a great kid…and one helluva kicker. He will be very good for y’all. Give the kid some time…starting in the SEC as a true freshman is not easy.
Still may bring my boy up for a visit this fall, but he’s got this season and another in high school…and the reality is…my son and Peyton are statistically identical as far as camp results go…so not an upgrade at all.

I’m sure you are right and that the coaches will give him a chance to settle in. But it was a rough day for him

I know, my son was giving me updates while we were at an Ole Miss visit. Breaks his heart to see his friends struggle…but mostly because that’s every kicker’s fate at some point. If you can’t handle a bad day out you aren’t cut out for kicking.
Peyton’s form is rock solid, but tempo gets messed up. He’ll for sure be back better than ever. I sure hope UGA doesn’t need a ‘25 kicker. They were very nice to my son this summer, basically set up a small private camp for him to kick…Kirby came out and was very complementary.

We kinda have one. He's usually pretty good but he's now doinked TWO field goals off the uprights in his career here. Helping us lose both times.

Ours can't even kick extra points reliably.
