They won't be as good. Losing their DC is going to be big, and they had a really underrated OL last year.

Taking State from being 4-8 and being blown out 45-0 by your rival to 9-4 and two straight wins over said rival is a big deal. Not to mention Mullen will have put 7-8 players in the NFL in two years, has had literally no off field problems, and is graduating his players is not to shabby.

I think it's a toss up. Look at last years records. The difference in 2nd in the west and 5th is just two games. Flip a game here and there and the west coulda looked alot different. Especially if the ball bounces States way. Could very well be like that this coming season and I am thinking it will. I mean state went 9-4 and was 5th in west!!!

Auburn 8-0 14-0
Arkansas 6-2 10-3
LSU 6-2 11-2
Alabama 5-3 10-3
Mississippi State 4-4 9-4
Mississippi 1-7 4-8

It's tough to know, I thought for sure that UF would have hired him back in December.

Glad they didn't. State has one of the best coaches in the nation. He will be at State a long time. Fla deserves Musrat......

I want an over/under on how many games that fat SOB Weiss is going to make it in the Florida heat before having a massive coronary on the sidelines.

Mississippi State will be good enough to potentially win any of their games. It's too close a call to for me to guess how many they'll actually win. Every team in the west, with the exception of Auburn, will be better.

Ole Miss fans come across as so jealous early in this thread.

Ole Miss could see significant improvement if their QB dilemma ever gets solved.

It's just too much fun getting Mullenite, Klong, and Maroon worked up. I enjoy watching it unfold like I expect it to.

It's all.....part of the plan.
