They would help raise the conference GPA, but that is the only thing they both bring to the table.

You still think these hired players are students?

Read somewhere that there are no rules excluding original members from rejoining the conference.

I’m sure LSU and UGA would cry like babies at the extra in-state competition.

Would rather have had both of them back than any the SEC has added since original expansion.

Why would we want to add Tulane and GT when we could add a North Carolina, Florida State, Clemson, etc.?
It really depends more on where the final number of schools in conference expansion ends up. It wouldn’t have to be one or the other. Football drives the bus, GT football gives you matchups/content than can be easily sold with Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama and Auburn.
GT will either end up in the SEC or BIG. BIG offers more money but most GT fans would rather play schools in the south. Thankfully now we have a school President and AD that are aligned on making Football a priority.
The SEC adding FSU, Clemson, GT, UNC, UVA, NCSU, VT and maybe Miami would pretty much stymie the BIG.

Tulane has been average since sock boy Rick Jones retired.
