If D'Wan Mathis was so talented, why didn't Tennessee convince him to transfer there? Instead he goes to Temple then Davenport University. Quite the hot commodity.

Bennett is a scrub that was just happy to be there. He had zero expectations to ever play much less start at a P 5 school. He was too short, not athletic enough, with an average arm on a good day. The ideal Kirby QB.

Both had ineffective 1st quarters. Both had incompletions and penalties. The biggest difference is Bennett already had a years worth of mop up duty and playing time that year. I would expect some rust from Mathis, but Bennett was what he always was, less talented, less mobile, less athletic. But he was exactly what Kirby wanted.

Sigh, Dwan didn’t get a chance. Bennett had a year of mop up and 3 quarters the week before AND WASNT BENCHED. He was allowed to play with his limitations and inferior talent. Just like Kirby likes his QBs.

The most important part of this is you are essentially admitting Bennett did much much better than Mathis, which is smart because the stats prove that point.
With that said, you are being a hypocrite again:
You are now saying 27 snaps in 2019 is a lot.
Before 2021, you were saying those 27 snaps in 2019 + 155 snaps in 2020 were NOT a lot.
