Canes were more talented and better for their time, however, the Ole Miss SCHEME has given Bama fits. It's a tough scheme to prepare against, especially when Ole Miss has the level of talent that they do. History shows Bama dominates pro style offenses.

You must not know football, or you're just really slow.

Holy shite. Even Ole Miss fans are laughing at this. What about Arkansas? They put up 30. Is 2001 Miami at least as good as 2016 Arkansas?

If you want to bring in bad games, then how is it that 01 Miami only beat pathetic Boston college 18-7? Or how they would just get by VA Tech 26-24? Yet they would beat Alabama?

Surely Alabama 2016 is better than 01 Boston College. Or dare I say...VA Tech.

I acknowledged that in an earlier post. Best case scenario is an ugly, 14-10 type win for Bama if they dominate Dorsey. But Miami wins at least 7 out of 10. They were a flat out superior team across the board.

Your argument is silly. Just because they couldn't play in the NFL into their 40's doesn't mean they wouldn't have been good enough in 2001 to compete with this Bama team. A bunch of those guys had long NFL careers. They would have certainly been able to keep up with this Alabama team.

That's not at all what I mean.

How are they a superior team? And provide a real argument, not "oh well they had a bunch of future pros"

That doesn't count.

I still think you're full of shite and wrong, and once again Bama has

1. A ton of talent
2. Vastly superior coaching and preparing (which is more important than anything else)
3. And, in my opinion (it won't be opinion if Bama wins the NC) plays a better schedule every year.

Coaching is the reason why Bama would school the U. Talent isn't everything. Waiting to hear from you what critical match ups Miami wins that gives them such an advantage as you say. It comes down to coaching and secondly match ups.

Hurts would have effectively on chance against that secondary. I like Andre Johnson's chance against yours.

And they'd score a lot more than 14.

Only two scenarios where that happens:

1. Ken Dorsey gives you the ball deep in Miami territory. A lot.
2. Miami scores 42 and Bama gets a few garbage time touchdowns.

Hurts wouldn't have to take shots directly at the secondary. If you have watched Bama this year, a lot of passes go horizontal, and with good blocking, turn into large gains.

I like the speed and power of the Bama front 7 against the Miami O line and run game. Andre Johnson may do alright, but if Dorsey is eating the turf every play, it wouldn't matter if they had Gronkowski and Calvin Johnson out there.

Chad Kelly is a better QB than Ken Dorsey, at least at the college level. 10% better completion rate, even when teams know they're going to pass and the defense was simply unable to bail them out. How often was Dorsey asked to win a game with his arm? How often did he have to play while down?

Kelly > Dorsey, easily. Dorsey was abysmal in the Pros, if the pro careers are the only thing we're going off of.

#2 is laughable. Miami couldn't crack that many points on some inferior opponents in 2001.

Kelly has A LOT more arm strength and talent too...really no comparison between the two.

Kelly is also the better athlete.

They put up 59 and then 65 on two teams better than anyone Alabama has played all year.

Miami. That team had 17 first round draft picks.

8-4 Washington and 10-3 Syracuse? bullshite. They wouldn't win 7 in today's game.

And Bama could face two teams in the playoffs who are better than anyone Miami played all year.

I bet 2016 Auburn is better than anyone Miami played all year.

Bama has played, at most, one good team so far this year, and they lost to Wisconsin. Tennessee and A&M were quite clearly frauds.
