would they then own the weakest resumé of any National Champion in previous years?
Alabama fans don't care what others think our the team's accomplishments. That's why we're better than you.

LSU fans could take some lessons.

We are talking about a team that claims every NC known to mankind......no matter how it was/wasn't deserved

O/U on the number of times this particular old favorite exaggeration is invoked between now and when the final BCS poll comes out this evening?

If Alabama weren't in the picture, I'd say about 65,000. Since we are, I'm aiming more toward 93,000,000.

If Bama does get in, and does pull off the miracle and beat LSU in the BCSNCG, would they then own the weakest resumé of any National Champion in previous years?

Despite the stellar Kentucky and Arkansas losses, as well as not having to play the SEC East team that was clearly better at the time (with the same record), and despite Alabama not playing in the SECCG, Alabama would have beaten the consensus, and, if you believe some of the posters here, the best team ever in the history of college football. For that, I would say, no, the resume is not the worst.

But, as it has been said here in this thread, and on this board, both about the 2003 and 2007 championships LSU has won, a championship is a championship, despite the chaos or need to share it with another team. So it doesn't matter anyway.
