The pic says a stop "constitutes a win for the defense". It doesn't say anything about asst. tackles. If they're crediting him statistically with "defensive stops", that's queer.

Fitgerald rushing stats: 985 yards, 6.1 ypa, 15 touch touchdowns.
Rodney Anderson (OU's leading rusher): 960 yards, 5.9 ypa, 11 touchdowns.

More like they're highlighting the run stop efforts Smith has been in on that resulted in zero or negative yardage by the back. The other defensive players that participated in those stoppage efforts would share that same stat.
Advanced stats must fly over Oklahoma along with everything else in the country, huh?

Watch some of the highlights from 2 years ago on what an elite defense can do to Baker Mayfield. Coming into that game the media/fan consensus was that OU was the hottest team coming into the playoffs.
UGA has the front seven to slow them down. Still not sold on UGAs passing game, but I think they can score enough (24) to win.
