So it's the fact that the women calling the games are masculine? You wouldn't have a problem with a female doing it, as long as they sounded like a female (are nice to look at it and know what they were talking about)?

I would rather no females call the games, but if they have to, I would much rather it be a female who sounded like a female.

May I inquire as to why it makes you feel weird?

Football is man-time for me. No homo. The last thing I want is to have to listen to a woman talking the whole game. Call it sexist if you want, but I have to listen to my wife enough to expect a break from women talking during football.

According to the link from mckibaj, only on rare occasions is the radio broadcast behind the television broadcast. There is a radio that is sold that you can delay the radio broadcast between 1-8 seconds to try to time them up. I might consider it for the future, but will probably give Beth a chance this weekend.

Do you care about women doing the occasional sideline report?

What do you do to avoid listening to these two?

I found this, but it's $200, and it probably won't get there before Saturday.

LINK

I'm going to try to open an online radio feed through VLC. I might be able to use it's video/audio synchronization feature to delay the audio.

Well shite.. this looks like a job for the NTY.

Seriously though if I was AU I wouldn't let those 2 in the press box, and would tell ESPN to go frick themselves.

Not if they're hot and seem to know what they're talking about.

Are you going to test it out for one of the Thursday night games to see how it works? If so, report back.

I might need to make a career move then.

I <3 you Audodger

I've been looking for this device for ages. I can't tell you how bummed I've been to listen to Hawthorne announce a TD, pick, etc... only to see it 5 seconds after

Historically, we are right behind LSU on the national landscape.

Seriously, though, it's about what I expected. Until we get good owners, things will continue downhill. At least the Giants are likely to make the playoffs.

We did have a 5 game winining streak that just got broken last night.

WoW! I feel sorry for Auburn fans. I can't stand to hear her call a game. She's almost as bad as that old broad that calls Yankees games.

I'm sure we'll have her for a game - I think we had her for Duke last year.

I wouldn't want Al Michaels, John Madden or Eli Gold calling womens figure skating or female gymnastics in the Olympics and I don't want a female, butch or not, calling football.
