As an LSU graduate I can say that my school is officially gay. LSU also has a link where you can rat out people not wearing masks.

So.... I know a guy with United Rentals. They lease porta potties to LSU. In a normal year LSU procures 480 for a home game. This year they are doing 140. Which means, they are going to require tailgaters to have a ticket to the game. No idea how they plan to enforce this.

No, I’m not complaining about the vaccine. I’m complaining about a gross and completely unnecessary, useless misuse of authority.

That is America my friend, we still have dry counties and the government is still telling folks they can't make moonshine. What exactly are any of us missing about politics and getting morally way too involved in people's way of life?

But if you want to go to a football game this season I'm getting the feeling proof of vaccination will end up being a standard this season.

I thought this was an either or --- you don't actually have to have the vaccine correct? You can bring a negative test, right?

Honestly, I think many universities are already doing this.

They aren’t, but it’s nearly impossible to secure a PCR test result within 72 hours so essentially it is a vax requirement. They know that, they don’t care about infection or spread. It’s just an attempt to strong arm more people into the vaccine

Momma is wrong again. Here's a list of universities requiring the vaccine:

LINK /

At a quick glance, it seems all the top schools in the country are requiring. Admittedly, just a quick glance.

That's not correct. They ruled only on the TRO, not the merits of the case.

LINK /

Per Reuters, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals Case 21-2326 ruled the IU mandate did not violate a Constitutional right

So either Reuters misquoted what was ruled or you are incorrect. Or like many people, they are all for the Constitution until it does not agree with their ex ante held beliefs.

Judge Easterbrook cited the 1905 SCOTUS decision in favor of the state of MA and Smallpox vaccine. He stated clearly you don't have to go to IU and could go elsewhere.

Or we can just assume fans would have a lot more peace of mind knowing the guy throwing spittle all over you in the next seat has been vaccinated.

LSU should be embarrassed to be the first one to cave to this.

Cave to not wanting to spread Covid? This whole pandemic has truly turned yall into snowflakes. Can't wear a mask without complaining, latch onto any conspiracy, becoming anti-vaxx, and now this

We knew from the start that the effectiveness of the vaccine would go down as time passed on. That's why you will be seeing a bigger push for the booster real soon. If people don't get boosters within about 6 months of their original shot (for Pfizer at least), the rates of infection will rise sharply. Israel was ahead of the curve in starting the vaccines, their 6 months were up, and they didn't get the boosters out in time.

Well I will give you credit, you admit this is just the beginning. In order for these mandates to have any way to work we need the entire population to get boosters every 6 months for the rest of our lives. That's just for Covid 19 of course. I'm sure more are on the way once we have it set up. Big Pharma is getting excited about that endless revenue stream and the fact they don't have to worry about liability for vaccines.

Oh, I'm sure that will never happen though since our government is the model of efficiency and honesty and would never take advantage of us.

While I can’t speak for everywhere in the country, I can unquestionably verify this to be the truth in my region. Some people are really proud of their ability to play around on google. Makes them feel real smart. Their experience is entirely different from those who actually see what’s going on first hand

People in the medical field also have distorted views of things because you are seeing the worst results.

You aren't seeing the more than 99% of people who aren't having troubles and are doing just fine.

Ohio State just required all students be vaccinated.

Penn State does not, but requires frequent testing if not vaccinated.

Not sure how many other schools will change it now that one vaccine is FDA approved.

Except vaccinated people can still spread it. And it's probably worse because they believe they can't, so they are the ones getting up close etc.

And what about people with natural immunity? Why do they need a vaccine for something they are already immune to?

Do I need to go get the chicken pox vaccine which didn't exist when I was a kid, even though I've had the chicken pox already? No. Yet for some reason, everyone needs to get this vaccine?

And that's the big problem with this stuff. It's NOT based on science. Its all political.

Who knew that when they hired a racist POS to lead their university that decisions like this would happen?
